DKV Charity Challenge: Small steps to achieve great things

DKV Luxembourg S.A. carried out a special fundraising drive in support of a project launched by Kindernothilfe Luxembourg for children in need in Malawi. For four weeks, the staff walked as many steps as possible. On average, they walked 10 000 steps a day, raising a total of EUR 2 000 in donations.
“The idea of combining DKV’s walking challenge – which formed part of our company’s health management programme – with the charitable aim of supporting Kindernothilfe Luxembourg and the special project for children in need in Malawi was a complete success for all concerned. We would be happy to repeat it next year!” said Stefan Pelger, CEO of DKV Luxembourg.
Gesa Schulte of Kindernothilfe Luxembourg received the cheque and praised the commitment displayed by the staff. The money will be contributed to a project run by Kindernothilfe Luxembourg in Malawi. Thanks to the project, 6 000 HIV orphans, as well as children and young people in need, receive regular meals and basic health care.
