Transparency and control
Transparency and control are very important to us. A comprehensive internal and external control system ensures that donations are used appropriately and appraises the impact of our work. All expenditure is subject to the dual control principle. The same also applies to our local partner organisations, with whom we carry out the projects on the ground.
This is why we apply the dual control principle to all expenditure, so that checks are always carried out by two instances in order to rule out errors and misuse. In the interest of transparency of the Association’s activities and as corroboration of the proper account management of Kindernothilfe Luxembourg, we voluntarily submit our Annual Financial Statements for audit by an independent auditor (currently BDO Luxembourg). We, thereby, seek to ensure the greatest possible level of transparency for our donors and provide verification of the proper use of donations.
We account to our donors through our detailed reporting. To improve transparency and prevent corruption, we have committed ourselves to compliance with publicly recognised codes. Kindernothilfe’s anti-corruption code acts as a guide for the prevention of corruption within Kindernothilfe and its partner organisations.
